Strategic consulting & research

Music Ally has provided digital music and media strategy to dozens of companies ranging in size from start-ups to blue chip companies. We also work with bands, managers and labels to help them understand and exploit the opportunities in digital, reaching fans directly or creating innovative marketing campaigns.

Case Study: Technology Strategy Board

Music Ally has been working with the Technology Strategy Board – an agency of the UK government – on a new project designed to help speed innovation and deal flow around new digital content businesses in the UK.

We have secured the participation of dozens of major content owners across music, film, TV, publishing, and images including household names such as BBC Worldwide, Fremantle Media, Lionsgate, Getty Images, Tate, the British Library, and all four major labels; and have been working with these content owners to build connections with large or small, but potentially disruptive and interesting start-ups to run trials.

Case Study: LoveLive

LoveLive is a leading source of music content and associated services for brands, broadcasters, channels, digital platforms and labels. They approached us to help validate the concert live streaming business model, support their investment business case and identify artists for rights acquisition.

“We asked Music Ally to help us analyse and validate certain assumptions about the potential in the live music sector; and to work on a creative brief identifying target artists. We were extremely satisfied with their work and professionalism, and couldn’t recommend their services more.”
