The global market for all mobile content and (non-voice) services will grow to $150 billion by 2011, most of that will come from messaging, with SMS, MMS and IM generating more than $93 billion by 2011, up from $60 billion in 2006. Entertainment services (including games, music, TV, adult content and gambling) would grow to $38 billion by 2011 from around $18.8 billion in 2006. The mobile music share of this will fall from 40 percent last year to 36 percent in 2011. User-generated content and communities are forecast to be worth $13.2 billion by 2011.
