Michael Robertson certainly isn’t going to go quietly in his lawsuit against EMI. Although he’s vigorously denying that MP3Tunes’ locker service infringes labels’ copyrights, he’s also got a burning question about their strategy when it comes to suing startups. “If you look at the lawsuits that are pending, they seem to be doing a very good job of divvying up the litigation,” he says. “Warner is suing some, EMI are suing others – and I find that very curious. There’s not one where they’re suing the same company!” However, Robertson seemingly isn’t planning to turn this observation into an anti-trust complaint: “I’m not a government intervention kind of guy…”
