UK-based digital music store 7digital says its sales of DRM-free MP3 tracks were up 300% in the first half of this year, compared to the same period last year. The site is now attracting nearly two million unique visitors a month – up 130% year-on-year – and 7digital claims it’s now the second most popular digital music store in the UK behind iTunes. The MP3 growth is largely on the back of new deals with Warner Music Group and EMI.
