Apple has confirmed that it WON’T be cutting the price of song downloads in its UK iTunes Music Store, despite having announced plans to earlier this year. The announcement came after criticism from British consumer association Which?, who claimed that British users were being charged more than in other European countries. So why has Apple gone back on its promise? Exchange rate changes, apparently – the company says that there’s no longer any pricing discrepancy between the UK and the rest of Europe.
