Rock band Jimmy Eat World are the latest to use Twitter in an interesting way – in their case, with a separate website based around their upcoming US tour. Each gig has its own individual forum, and fans sign up to chat by sending a Twitter message to the band. It’s slightly fiddly, but still a neat way to use the micro-blogging service while also driving traffic to the band’s own website. Here’s their own instructions on how to use the service: “Tweet @jimmyeatworld #YYYYMMDD (where YYYYMMDD is the date of the show). For example, @jimmyeatworld #20090223 can’t wait to see you in New York!”(via TechCrunch)
