The family of Bob Marley has teamed up with private equity firm Hilco Consumer Capital to sign a swathe of licensing deals for the Marley likeness, trademarks and themes. They’re likely to include clothing, food and video games, according to the Wall Street Journal. A number of artists have signed up for branded games in recent years, including 50 Cent, the Wu-Tang Clan, Aerosmith and Metallica. Oh, and the Beatles, of course – they’re the subject of a hotly-anticipated game due out later this year. Could a Reggae Hero title be on the way from Activision?
