The researcher claims online music radio listening increased by 37.6% in the US in 2008, up to 6.67 billion listening hours. AOL’s Shoutcast was the most popular online radio service, accounting for 52.5% of total listening time, with Clear Channel only accounting for 7.8%, AOL’s nearest competitor. Clear Channel was the most popular ad-supported online radio, with a 16.5% share.
