Total revenues for the fourth quarter of 2008 stood at $152.6 million, down 3% year-on-year, while posting a net loss of $240.5 million for the quarter. The latter is down from Q4 2007’s net income of $2.7 million, with the change being mainly due to impairment charges of $240.7 million. RealNetworks’ revenues were up 8% year-on-year to $43.9 million in Q4. The company revealed it had 775,000 Rhapsody subscribers at the end of 2008, up from 600,000 at the end of 2007. The company claims 2.85 million total paying music subscribers, including the Rhapsody users, 1.225m radio users, and 875k users who subscribe through other providers or get music on-demand.
