U.S. video game sales were up 13% in January, to $1.33 billion. Game hardware sales grew 17%, to $445.4 million. Game software sales and accessories sales both increased by 10%. Nintendo Wii sold nearly 680,000 units in January, the Microsoft Xbox 360 sold 309,000 units and the Sony PlayStation 3 sold 203,000 consoles. Nintendo’s DS sold over 510,000 units.
