Well, it’s hardly surprising. Here’s some quotes from venue group AEG’s president and CEO Tim Leiweke on the proposed merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster: “It’s not good for the industry… I find it ironic that some think this merger will fix the business and result in lower ticket prices… This merger won’t create a new idea on how to sell more tickets. It’s all about the bottom line”. Oh, and apparently the proposed merger has harmed Live Nation and AEG’s relationship since it was announced.
