British ringtones firm Mexel Limited has been fined £75,000 for two separate cases of sending unsolicited chargeable text messages to customers, and had failed to stop sending them even after customers complained. The company has also been ordered to refund these customers. The company’s service provider mBlox was named in UK regulator PhonePayPlus’ decision, but was not liable for the fines.
