New figures reveal that the Austrian recorded music market shrank by 8% to €185 million in 2008, down from €201 million in 2007. Digital sales increased, but by only 14% to €11.4 million – just 8% of the overall recorded music market, behind music DVDs at 9%. Meanwhile, music videos and streaming services increased their revenues for the year, but are still a very small part of the market. More stats via the Billboard story.
