Ars Technica has been digging into the accounts of torrent tracker Mininova, discovering that it generated €1 million of revenues in 2007 – the most recent year for which the company’s accounts are publicly available. The revenues came largely from advertising on the Mininova site. The site claims to have a strict policy of taking down infringing links, differentiating it from The Pirate Bay. At least, that’s what the site’s owners hope.
