
Disgruntled staff at Sony’s Pontonx-sur-l’Adour plant in France took the company’s France CEO Serge Foucher hostage last week, to protest about the terms of their redundancy packages. He was locked in a meeting room, and the entrance to the plant was barricaded with tree trunks. “He won’t listen to us, we didn’t find any other solution,” says CGT Union man Patrick Hachaguer.
