There are plenty of services letting people stream their iTunes libraries to wherever they are, so what’s special about Echodio? Well, it’s a bit limited at the moment – the iTunes plug-in only works on Macs, and you can only stream your music using the Boxee media browser. However, other methods are coming soon, including an iPhone app. It’s in beta, and users get 1GB of storage each, although when it launches, they’ll pay per GB. It only works with MP3 and AAC though, so it’s unclear if that includes DRM’d iTunes Store songs bought in the past. One to watch, although it needs to be a bit less niche to catch on, given the stiff competition.
