YouTube has announced new features for its Insights analytics platform to help content owners drill down into stats to see who’s liking their videos the most. Specifically, user ratings can now be broken out by region – “If it looks like your rating is 3/5 stars but the average Japanese viewer is giving you 2, while the French tend to give you 5, you’ll now know where your real fans are located,” YouTube tells Mashable. It’s presented in a neat Google Analytics style map interface, too. Presumably if you mouse over the UK on the map, a pop-up appears saying “MONEY-GRABBING HEATHENS!” and crashes the site. Possibly.
