Irish radio station RTE 2FM has a spiffing new website this week, which includes a raft of new music discovery features powered by Catch. It includes licensed content, and artist mash-up pages that blend MySpace blog entries and gig listings. It also supports mobile bookmarking for songs played on the radio station – users can text the station’s shortcode and get back the name of the track and artist – which is also then added to their personal `My 2FM’ page on the website, which then takes them through to the artist’s page. Catch tells Music Ally that the platform is off-the-shelf, so will be rolled out to other large radio brands in Europe this year – while the company also intends to offer it to artists and labels.
