The company estimates worldwide revenues from mobile phone music related business streams will reach almost $4.4bn by the end of 2012, representing a rise of 100% over 2007. According to the report revenues for Full Track Audio and Video Services are forecast to reach $1.2bn, accounting for 46% of the market in 2012, compared with 29% in 2007, with the US and Japan continuing as the most significant markets. The research warns, however, that the wholesale price of music and the heavy reliance on piracy of the 16 to 30 year old demographic, which represents the largest consumer segment, may dilute profitability.
