VideoMetrix reveals that Hulu is now the fourth most popular video site in the US, drawing an audience of 34.7 million people in February who watched 332.5 million streams. That’s up from 24.5 million people in January a 42% rise. YouTube is still top, but Hulu’s rise is being followed with interest by the music industry. It was set up by NBC Universal and News Corporation to act as a high-quality destination for watching network TV shows online. Major labels have long held ambitions to launch a similar idea for music videos.
