Activision has announced that Guitar Hero World Tour will be released for PC and Macs, taking the franchise beyond its console roots. It’ll include the same wireless drums’n’guitar controllers, as well as online and offline gameplay modes and a Music Studio feature letting players compose and edit their own rawk anthems. Although 86 tracks will be included, the press release doesn’t mention an online store option to download new songs – whether that’s because it’s not in the PC/Mac versions, or because the details are being finalised still, remains to be seen.
