
As part of Nokia’s ramping up of its own music stores, it’s shutting those run under contracts signed with OD2, which the company bought in 2006. Those to go include Tiscali, MSN UK and Virgin Media. Tiscali doesn’t sound too happy: “OD2 has regrettably decided to withdraw the Tiscali Music Download service,” it tells PaidContent. “Tiscali is actively looking for a high quality music service to replace it.” Microsoft is going with its in-house technology, while Virgin Media is… well, there’ve been rumours about Virgin Media’s music plans for months.
