The Wall Street Journal is claiming that Yahoo is about to announce a big new initiative for its music service, pulling together content from Amazon, iTunes and YouTube in a new area of its site called Artist Pages. It’s aiming to be a one-stop shop for information on bands, although as the WSJ points out, plenty of other people like MySpace Music are trying to do the same thing. The move is presumably intended to restart traffic growth at Yahoo Music, which currently attracts around 21.1 million monthly visitors.
