Ticketmaster has confirmed that it’s been subpoenaed or received other requests for information over its approach to the secondary ticketing market by the US Justice Department, the Federal Trade Commission and the New Jersey Attorney General’s office. The investigations were sparked by the infamous Bruce Springsteen presale, when would-be purchasers were redirected to Ticketmaster’s TicketsNow reselling site – where they were more expensive – even though tickets were still available on the main Ticketmaster site. The company is also facing an investigation in Canada over the same issue.
