TechCrunch has been digging into the Google Trends charts of most-searched-for keywords, and has announced that “Twitter” is now a more popular search term than “Britney”, and has even overtaken “Obama”. However, Twitter still lags behind “Facebook”, which is 81 times more popular. We’re more tickled by the fact that when we visited Google Trends this morning to research this story, the number one `hot trend’ in US web searches today is apparently “muppet scat”. Now that’s worth Twittering about.
