Handset firm Sony Ericsson has reported a net loss of 293 million Euros for the first quarter of 2009, compared to a profit of 133 million Euros in Q1 last year. Revenues were down 36% to 1.7 billion Euros in the same period, and the company shipped 14.5 million handsets in Q1 – 35% down on Q1 last year.
