We wrote about the looming court battle between genius Products and Activision over two rival DJ music games – Scratch and DJ Hero – last week. Now it’s hotting up, with a court granting a temporary restraining order against Activision, forcing it and developer 7 Studios to turn over all the source code relating to Scratch, which was being developed by 7 Studios for Genius, before the developer was bought by Activision to work on DJ Hero. Genius says it plans to aggressively pursue the case. Perish the thought that we take a flippant approach to serious legal matters, but we think this particular spat is begging to be settled by a breakdance battle.
