We’ve written about Twones before – it started as a Last.fm type scrobbling tool with community features, and is now expanding into… a Last.fm type music community. So there are now artist pages on its website gathering music, video, Twitter feeds, gig dates, photos and reviews. It also supports many more music sites, including Deezer, Hype Machine, iLike, Imeem, Joost, Last.fm itself, MOG, MySpace, Seeqpod and Songza. The Twones browser plug-in tracks what you listen to on these sites in order to build your profile, while there’s also a desktop app.Meanwhile, the company says it’s raised another round of seed funding, and is working on a “hush-hush” new tool called Music Connect, which involves “music tracking without a browser add-on”. The company’s public launch is scheduled for June or July – all this info came in an email to beta users this morning.
