It was once the Next Big Thing, but online TV service Joost has fallen on hard times of late, as the buzz around it dissipated in stark contrast to the rise of studio-backed rival Hulu. Now a report on CNET claims that Joost is actively seeking a buyer, with the aim of supplying its online video technology to a cable or satellite broadcaster. Time Warner Cable is said to be in the frame.
