
So much for the brave new world of music blogs owned by large companies. Idolator is one of the best-known music blogs, yet as part of cuts by parent company Buzznet, which bought it last year, the blog has just been reduced to a staff of one. “We’ve had to say goodbye to pretty much all the Idolator contributing writers, from columnists to daily bloggers,” writes the site’s editor. “The site is going to go on as a solo project of sorts, although the news cycle might run at a slightly slower pace.”
