Microsoft has announced that it plans to hand over control of much of its entertainment sites to fans. Well, kind of. MSN is using technology from a company called WetPaint, which makes it easy for fans – whether of music, films, TV shows or other entertainment properties – to populate sites with content. The advantage for MSN is it doesn’t have to shell out on editorial costs, but rather let its community do the work for it. TechCrunch’s report says WetPaint’s advantage is that its sites are SEO-friendly too.
