Nintendo, despite falling a little short of projections on Wii sales, is still steaming ahead with an annual profit of ¥279.1bn (US$2.8 billion or GB£1.8 billion), an increase of 8.5% compared to last year. Revenues were ¥1.83tr (USD $18.5 billion or GBP £12.2 billion). Nintendo shipped 25.9 million Wiis in the past year and 31.1 million DS portable consoles.
