Nokia is to launch its app store this month, and with over 20,000 items it has more apps available than Apple’s AppStore did at launch. Part of the reason for the delayed launch is that Nokia has many more different handset types to service, whereas there’s only one iPhone. However, as a result the app store is expected to reach more users from the start than the Apple and RIM services did on launch.
