Applications for the iPhone and iPod touch have earned Apple somewhere between USD $20 and $45 million in the first 9 months since launch. The calculation is based upon an assumption that 25 million to 60 million of the billion apps downloaded so far have been paid for and that the median price per app is USD $2.65, with Apple taking 30% of revenue.
