US firm VoxPop.TV has announced $1.5 million of second-round funding, which it will use to develop its technology for making branded web games based on pop culture. Hearst Interactive Media led the round, with True Ventures also chipping in. Music is one of the potential areas for these kinds of games, as VoxPop’s rival PopJax has shown with a series of artist-focused games.
