We’ve been loving the Twitter feed of UK DJ Tim Westwood for some time now, it’s genius. But we’re equally impressed with how Detroit legend Richie Hawtin is using Twitter, having rigged up technology to connect his Traktor Pro kit to Twitter, automatically posting tweets of every song he plays. Which is fun for trackspotter fans, but according to the people who’ve helped him do it, this kind of tech could also be used for a serious purpose of better identifying songs played by DJs for royalty payment purposes.
