Hats off to singer-songwriter Annabel Linquist, who’s found a new way to make money from music – writing personalised love songs at $130 a pop for people to share on Facebook with their significant others. She started selling them for $12, then upped the price to $50 before settling on $130 due to demand – “I was just trying to make less people buy them,” she tells the LA Times. The songs are posted to iLike, and can then be shared on Facebook by the grateful commissioners. An example: “Sydney, Sydney, you’re so pretty / Red hair goes with pink / Sydney, girl, you’re super bouncy / I heard you’re a singer, too.” Bless.
