First details have leaked out about US satellite radio firm Sirius XM‘s planned iPhone app, including a screenshot and info on the planned pricing. It looks okay from the screenshot – a typical iPhone music app – but it will require users to sign up for a $12.95 a month Sirius XM subscription. Analysts are already pointing out that there is no shortage of free ad-supported competitors on iPhone, while it seems that even existing Sirius XM subscribers will have to stump up the $12.95 extra to use the iPhone version.
