The Recording Industry Association of Japan has released digital sales data for the first quarter of this year, and it shows a distinct slowdown for mobile sales. Overall mobile unit sales were down 4% to $106.9 million, although revenue fell only 2% to $204 million. Ringtone revenues fell by 24% while ringback tones were up 28% in value, and full-track sales up 4%. Overall digital unit sales were $118.3 million, down 2% year-on-year, although revenues stayed the same at $234.4 million.
