And another Apple patent… The company has filed a patent for a “multi-dimensional scroll wheel”, which would be the next-generation version of the wheel found on the company’s non-touchscreen iPods. The patent would effectively turn the scroll wheel into a multitouch display, dividing it up into “sensing zones”, letting people control the iPod’s functions by swiping and pinching. Looking at the diagrams, it’d be great for a Simon Says game…
