In the early hours of Saturday morning, Facebook opened up its registrations for Facebook usernames – letting people register memorable URLs for their Facebook page based on their name, rather than the existing string of jumbled letters and numbers. More than three million people have done it so far, meaning that a lot of people will log on from work today and find that their preferred name has gone. It’s not just individuals either – brands using Facebook can also register their usernames. If you haven’t already, it’s maybe worth logging on now with your fingers crossed…
