The headline says it all: RealNetworks has expanded its relationship with mobile operator Vodafone to include selling ringback tones to its German customers – the third deployment of Real’s RBT technology in Europe. Real has also given some stats on how ringback tones are doing on Vodafone Turkey – apparently they’ve grown at an average of 14% each month since launching in August 2008. It also says Real generates “an aggregated adoption rate of nearly 9% globally for its RBT services” – more than double its competitors – and that it now has more than 31 million RBT subscribers in 10 countries around the world.
