It was a big day for Apple yesterday: not only did it release its iPhone 3.0 software, but first reviews were published of its iPhone 3G S handset, which goes on sale this Friday. The reviews are largely positive, hailing the new handset’s improved speed, battery life and video recording features. However, several reviews suggest existing iPhone 3G owners need not rush to upgrade. That’s partly because of the new features delivered by the iPhone 3.0 software update, which works on all existing iPhones. We examined its potential for music in last week’s Music Ally Report, but MobileCrunch has a good roundup of some of the new features.
