Games publisher Activision may abandon Sony’s PlayStation 3 console and PSP handheld if the company doesn’t drop its prices, according to CEO Bobby Kotick. That could mean no more Guitar Hero games for PS3. “They have to cut the price, because if they don’t, the attach rates are likely to slow,” he says (attach rates are how many games each console owner buys). “If we are being realistic, we might have to stop supporting Sony.” Meanwhile, Kotick continues to be bullish about Guitar Hero’s success, saying that last year “It was as big as Titanic with better margins”. He’s talking about the film, obviously, not the ship.
