
YouTube is opening up its new overlays feature, allowing people to place a transparent overlay on their videos with a link to any external website. The feature has been in testing with a select few brands and charities until now. Meanwhile, more artists and brands can now register Facebook ”vanity URLs” with their name in. When the feature launched, any artist wanting a vanity URL for their Facebook Page had to have signed up more than 1,000 fans, but that requirement has just been dropped.
