Last year, licensing negotiations between YouTube and Warner Music Group broke down, with the result that the latter’s videos were pulled from the site. However, CNET is reporting that the pair are in “more serious” talks about a new licensing deal, although its source claims that there is still a long way to go before a deal can be reached. WMG isn’t YouTube’s only spat right now, of course – it’s fallen out with PRS for Music in the UK and GEMA in Germany over licensing payments.
