If you can’t get even, get mad on YouTube. Musician Dave Carroll was so angry at his guitar getting broken during a flight on United Airlines (and worse, not getting compensation for it), that he made a song and video called United Breaks Guitars. It’s since gone viral, attracting more than 3.2 million views on various online video sites, and 14,000 comments. Carroll has two more songs/vids in the works, too – the publicity for his band Sons of Maxwell should be making up for the busted $3,500 guitar, while United is rueing the social media backlash that its treatment of the musician has produced.
