Trent Reznor recently gave some advice to new bands about engaging with their fans, which included an order to get on Twitter. However, he’s not so keen himself: the Nine Inch Nails frontman just deleted his Twitter account. It follows his recent complaints about the abuse he was getting on the micro-blogging service. He’d stopped posting personal tweets, but had still been using Twitter to publish information about NIN activities. Not any more. It’s one of the first high-profile defections from Twitter – most celebrities are scrambling to get on it.
