We’ve written about Foursquare before – an iPhone app that wraps game-like achievements around social networking. Now it’s got a rival called Booyah Society, which aims to reward players with achievements for their day-to-day activities – everything from going to the gym to listening to music. There’s an additional tie-in with music, too, in the way the app pulls in local data from Eventful to tell players what gigs are happening in their area. Quirky, but interesting with it.
