Media giant Viacom has reported a 14% drop in revenues for the second quarter of 2009, and it’s laid part of the blame on its Rock Band console game. The company’s Media Networks division, which includes games publishing, saw revenues fall 8% to $1.97 billion for the quarter – “principally due to a 41% decline in ancillary revenues driven by lower sales of the music video game Rock Band”.
